			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Okay let&#8217;s talk about the Red Team and how they fell on the sword for Shay in the last episode.  I have so many feelings when it comes to that because at first they did such a noble thing for her because of her lack of support at home and the obvious reasons why Shay needs to be on campus. <span id="more-631"></span> I was just so sad for Antoine and Sean because they really did need to be there too.  Let&#8217;s not forget that Sean weighed in at 444lbs.  The bottom line is that both of those teams needed to stay with Jillian and I and it was just a lose lose situation but didn&#8217;t the Red Team look great at the end.  I was happy to see Antoine and Alexandra being together and Sean losing all that weight on his own.  Granted, Sean still has more weight to lose but what an excellent start.   </p>
<p>Now let&#8217;s talk about Tracey.  To give her the benefit of the doubt, in the beginning she was behind the eight ball since she had to be off campus while everyone else was there bonding with one another and Tracey felt like an outsider when she came in, so she felt compelled to play the game to get an advantage.  With that said, you saw what I said about game players and I meant it.  When people come in just wanting to play the game to further themselves it is a dangerous route to take when it comes to your overall weight loss because when the game is over, what is your motivation??  Tracey was very much a game player in this week and Jillian and I were not having it AT ALL!! </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Did you get a chance to see Chelsea Lately last night?  The opening of her show was about The Biggest Loser and all the screaming that was going on in the gym.  I love her and think she is hilarious!!  So I got up today and I think because I have been running around with work and traveling so much, I just feel so run down…. <span id="more-629"></span>I went to the gym this morning and to a spin class and I am spending the rest of the day relaxing, reading my book, “The China Study” and that&#8217;s about it.  I have been watching The Dr. Oz Show all week and it is so great to have something so informative on daytime television.  It is such a great breath of fresh air and my show will air tomorrow.  Make sure you watch and I will write a blog about it tomorrow.  I tweeted about the great benefits of a product that I always have in my house, Food For Life.  I&#8217;ve been having the english muffin every morning before I go to the gym.  It gives me just the right amount of fuel to really push hard.  I add a little less than a tablespoon to it….SO GOOD!!!  I wanna ask all of you, how are your eating habits going this week?  I have to tell you that I have been feeling GREAT with my eating habits.  I just tweaked a few things but mostly what I have done and reinforced with everyone that I talk to is that I really do eat so many vegetables!!!  I just love them and they are so good for me so PLEASE, eat your veggies.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Okay so our first episode aired last night for Season 8 of The Biggest Loser and I have to tell you that I was BLOWN AWAY!!!  I absolutely loved the emotion that was filling up two hours of prime time television.  First, when I saw Daniel coming back and his “hero’s welcome”.  I thought it was fantastic and he looked great. <span id="more-626"></span> I remember when that boy walked into our house last season weighing over 450lbs, scared and eager and then all of a sudden here he comes back weighing just over 300lbs and feeling stronger mentally and physically.  It was great.  All of a sudden there they are about to do their first challenge and poor Tracy just pushed herself way too hard.  That competitive spirit in her really got the best of her that day but thank god that she ended up being ok.  Some people asked me today if that had any reflection on mine or Jillian’s training and I just want to go on the record to say, NO WAY!!!  Jillian and I push people very hard and we get crazy in that gym (something I will discuss in a moment) but there is no way in the world that Jillian or I would have them running on the beach in the middle of the afternoon for a mile…NO WAY!!!!   </p>
<p>Now let&#8217;s talk about Shay….OMG!!!  Did you just fall in love with that girl last night!!  Shay is the biggest person we have ever had on the show, 476lbs and the girl has been beaten down by life but she wants a second chance and let me tell you, Jillian and I are going to give it to her.  I just thought Shay showed so much honesty and vulnerability and the WANT to change and that is an excellent start.  Now let&#8217;s talk about Abby.  A woman that had the unthinkable happen and now she is figuring out a new way to live because, just like she said on the scale, she is no longer afraid of death.  Abby is an inspiration to us all because she represents the will to live.  I love her so much and I think so many of us can relate to just taking one day at a time, one hour at a time.  I think that you must look at every day as a blessing and a mission to find purpose.  Some days might be better than others but you find that will to live every day and you get out there and FIND YOUR PLACE in this world.  Thank God for Abby.  I will talk more about other contestants next week.   </p>
<p>So now lets talk about all that cursing…..  Watching it last night, I realized that it needs to be dialed back and I apologize.  I know that our show has become a family show and at times it sounded inappropriate.  All I can say is that we live in our own little world out there and we spend HOURS and HOURS on that campus and sometimes it just gets dirty.  We lose all concept of the camera crews that are all around us and we just get into a zone.  I&#8217;m really not trying to make any excuses I&#8217;m just trying to show you a different perspective.  It is like a locker room in that gym and we all get raw and exposed so that is basically where I&#8217;m coming from regarding this matter.  I hope that you never lose sight of the compassion, respect and love I have for the contestants, this season or any other season.  I welcome any and all contestants from the show to comment on our life out there to give insight to the “outside world”.  Anyway, I think it was a great and CRAZY start to what promises to be a very exciting season so please….stay tuned!!! </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Okay so I just read this week&#8217;s Time Magazine and the cover story was entitled, “Why Exercise Won&#8217;t Make You Thin” and all I can say is STOP PUTTING SUCH MISINFORMATION OUT THERE!!!!  Aren&#8217;t we as Americans so tired of all these “studies” that tell us that this is bad for you now and that is good for you now. <span id="more-624"></span> I understand that we are ever evolving and, yes, things do change but to put something like that on the cover of Time Magazine infuriates me.  When I read the article and the writer talked about how his wife and her running group were complaining about not losing any weight, the real reason is that they were going to Starbucks afterwards and making UNHEALTHY choices.  The idea that people out there want to “reward” themselves for going to the gym by eating “crap” just tells me that they have not made the full connection yet when it comes to living a healthy lifestyle.  Nutrition is extremely important when it comes to losing weight but you can never discount the ENDLESS benefits of moving your body around and exercising.  In my work with my contestants on the Biggest Loser, when you combine eating right with working out not only do you achieve great weight loss, but conditions like high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes and high cholesterol just to name a few, become more manageable.  Not only that but people who exercise are happier also and sleep better.  Exercise is a crucial piece of the healthy puzzle that we are all trying to piece together so PLEASE do not take away from that misguided article that you shouldn&#8217;t workout or what&#8217;s the point, because it is important and when you do workout just remember to make the wise choice when it comes to your food and stay away from those fatty, sugary and salty foods.  I beg you to make the FULL connection to living a healthy life. Boy, I&#8217;m still burning up about that article…..can you tell..xoxox </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We have a new President!!!!  This morning I had to get up and be at work  very early.  I had to take my team to Muscle Beach in Santa Monica, CA for their last chance workout.  We had such a great time.  They have been stuck on campus for awhile and so going anywhere for them is a treat right now and it was so beautiful there today. <span id="more-584"></span> The temperature was about 80 degrees and sunny.  We worked hard and sweat and then it was time to go back to campus.  There has been such a great energy around town today because of the election.  Do you feel it where you are.  I really do believe that change is good and GOOD is coming.  On a side note…&#8230;I wasn&#8217;t too keen on what Michelle Obama was wearing today.  It was a little old fashioned.  I wanted her to be a little younger and fresher….LOL!!!  <br />
How is your fitness lifestyle going??  Are you setting up your priorities?  I had a very interesting revelation on the show today and I&#8217;m gonna share it with you without revealing too much.  I have always told people that you have to put yourself at the top of your priority list and in MOST situations I still believe that to be true.  So many people put everyone before themselves and then have nothing left and as a result they neglect themselves and it could manifest into an unhealthy lifestyle.  I think that you MUST take care of yourself so that you have more to give your kids, family, work or anyone else but when dealing with parents that will always put their kids before them there is a little gray area that I&#8217;m not used to because I tend to be very black and white.  I think that there are some circumstances when dealing with parents that they are able to put themselves at the top of their list ALONGSIDE their kids.  Helping their kids can in turn motivate them to begin to take care of themselves…&#8230;  So if you have kids and your life is all about them and their welfare, more power to you but please don&#8217;t lose yourself during the process.  Your kids need ALL of you and you need to be working on all cylinders to help them and also HELP YOU!!!  God, I love my job so much.  It is a learning experience every single day and this season has become a personal journey for me too…&#8230;CRAZY!!! </p>
