I did and I feel great lost 11lbs !!!!

DanaMay 16, 2010

I gave up soda about a year ago. If I drink it now it makes me sick. All I drink now is iced tea and water and I rarely have any urge to have soda at all anymore. It sucks that at some places soda is really your only option, usually if that happens I bring a water bottle!

ckremerMay 17, 2010

dont think i can, like my Dt Pepsi

ejames819May 18, 2010

This was no problem I actually gave up soday in June of 2009 and it has helped me a lot. I only drink water and sometimes diet snapple or crystal light.

GarlandgalMay 18, 2010

I just found this site and saw this challenge. It will be hard for me, but I will give up my diet coke for 1 month! I can do this!

GarlandgalMay 18, 2010

carrie.maeMay 18, 2010

I stopped drinking soda the day after the premiere of this seasons Biggest Loser. I am about to finish 5th month without soda!!

Amanda H.May 20, 2010

I have done this before and I am totally in! Except I did it with fast food and I don’t eat fast food at all anymore.

BrwneyederikaMay 21, 2010

Me and my husband already have beat this challenge we have on 35 days with out a soda and are continuing not to have them. I was a die hard mountain dew freak. I was told by my doctor I could not since my health issues and to go on a diet. When we weighted in on the 30 day mark I have lost 30 lbs and my husband 29 lbs.

tpteach2youMay 21, 2010

A month…ha! I haven’t had pop/soda since July 13, 2009!! I had Lapband surgery and had to give it up and I am glad that I did! I don’t even miss it! Give me water, milk or a sugar free drink!!

MARILYN MCNEILLMay 26, 2010

HI BOB,
I AM ADICTED TO PEPSE I COULD SURE USE YOUR HELP, PLEASE HELP ME LOSE THE WEIGHT, BUT FOR STARTERS I WILL TAKE THIS CHALLENGE/

THANK YOU

clownkittyMay 26, 2010

Sooo, I’m really late joining this challenge but I’m taking you up on this one Bob cause I’m a serious Coca Cola addict….yeah….as in the REAL THING. This is the number one contributor to my weight…more so than food. So many wasted calories. I was lactose intolerant as a baby and my mother put Coke in my baby bottle….I have been a Coke addict my whole life. Tackling this challenge is the number one step to a healthier life for me. The rest is pointless without making this change first. Wich me luck!

Beth AnnMay 27, 2010

I actually had to give it up. Everytime I drank it (which is very few and far between) my stomach would be upset from the carbonation. So I pretty much live on water and occasionally make homemade icedtea and lemonade that i use splenda in.

skinnyone2010May 28, 2010

I am going to start now. I am trying to lose at least 50 pounds to make it easier for me to get pregnant and stay in shape. I lose the “Biggest Loser”. My husband and i watch it every tuesday. Now i will watch Jillian’s new show.

shellycannonMay 29, 2010

My husband and I just finished this challenge, it was great and we made it! We tried drinking a soda the day after the challenge was over, and it was disgusting…..glad I took the challenge!!!!!

theNewMe2010May 30, 2010

I started to diet and stopped drinking Sprite (my only soda I ever drank for 20 yrs)back in March 2009. Only drank filtered water, some lemonades, OJ and cranapple juice. Gave up fast foods and hubby and I began eating only Turkey, Chicken and Fish.

Lost 15 lbs in a yr because wasn’t able to really exercise much. I’m a BIG fan of BL and love Bob to death. I believe he would be the only one to help me if I ever had the chance to meet him or be on BL.

I’ve recently bought a treadmill, so I’m hoping that will help, along with Bob’s tips here on this site and the BK show!

For me to be in the “normal” weight I have to loose a min. of 150 lbs!!
So wish me luck.

LisaMay 31, 2010

Am starting the challenge starting today. Will see how it goes.

DestinysPathMay 31, 2010

Hi,

DestinysPathMay 31, 2010

Just starting this challenge today so I am hoping that it goes well.

samofromdkJun 1, 2010

samofromdkJun 1, 2010

I stopped driking soda for like 5 months ago nd im 16 :)

leslie0327Jun 4, 2010

I never drink regular soda. But occasionally I crave the carbonation and drink diet. I really don’t like the carboninated waters but I would like to find a health substitute without artificial sweetners.

Milton508Jun 5, 2010

I can do this. Question, is Gingerale bad or good?

danhingstonJun 5, 2010

my wife will kick my ass if i fail… so i better be strong enough.

ladybug1Jun 7, 2010

Not a problem for me..I drink it from time to time but I know I definately dont need it… I stoped drinking soda 10 years ago when I set my mind to loosing weight..I know I can do this again..If it means Im starting in the right direction again,I will do what it takes…

ladybug1Jun 7, 2010

I can do this…Its definately a step in the right direction… I stopped drinking it about 10 yrs ago and I tend to drink it now every once in a while…. Here goes…

Thanks Bob…

Rockinbabe6669Jun 7, 2010

I havent had soda in about 6 months…I usually only drink coffee and water.

AdriannaJun 8, 2010

absolutely! I rarely drink soda in the first place, so it’s totally worth it to pass on these drinks for the month.

MelanieJun 9, 2010

Hey Bob, This is the month I chose to quit the pop. I’ve been drinking at least 3 cans a day from probably high school and on. At first it was hard. Head aches, cravings and all round bad moods but I am 8 days in and things feel great. i even went to the movies and skipped the pop. I have had to drink carbonated water (san pellagrino) at supper to trick my brain but things are looking good. Here’s looking to the end of the month.

dacbJun 10, 2010

That’s easy drink water now maybe ice tea on the other hand i drink that when i don’t drink water.

MindyNJun 16, 2010

I gave up ALL pop in October 2009 (for the second time)and I have stuck to it. I have to admit, at times a pop looks tempting, then I think of the “empty” calories I am drinking. Those are also calories I have to look at working off. Yikes!! Drinking plain water can be boring so I have looked at teas, calorie free flavored water and reduced calorie juices in the morning. Without pop in my diet I am able to easily reach the 64 oz of water I should have every day.

TiffianyJun 16, 2010

Am starting the “No Soda” today…I drink water all day at work (3-5 bottles), but gotta say I do love savoring that soda occasionally…no soda for 1 month.

bjkrummJun 20, 2010

i went almost 1 year without a DP. It was hard at first.. of course.. but i kept pushing myself.. i fell off the wagon.. but i got back on.. Now. i hardly ever have a coke. and i work at a grocery store. they are easy access. But what i find, is that with this heat, cokes just make me feel sick when i go outside.. i just drink water. ive lost 30 pounds in the last 2 months.

mamacathieJun 23, 2010

YES!! I can do that! I don’t drink pop. I only drink water and green tea, sometimes.

mamacathieJun 23, 2010

I can do that! I only drink water and very seldom even, do I drink green tea.

DaniLapinvuoJun 24, 2010

No, I cant. I love coca-cola. Im thin and I exercise, so I can drink coca-cola occasionally. :D

BethMacUSAJun 28, 2010

GOing WITH soda would be more of a challenge. Not my weekness, I have never drank high sugar sodas in my life. LOL

tmreeseJun 30, 2010

Bob, I just wanted to let you know that I have been dr.pepper free for 1 year and 6 months. I went through horrible headaches and stuck it out and now I am a water drinker and also 45lbs lighter.
It hard to do but I did it so anyone can.

RebeccaJul 15, 2010

Everyone should do this more! As pop is poison. Haven’t had any kind of pop for over 6 months.

katieJul 15, 2010

i like this challenge i have not had a pop in 6 years. it will be easy

KatieJul 15, 2010

i like this challenge i have not had a pop in 6 years this will be easy!

KatieJul 15, 2010

this will be easy i have not had a pop in 6 years. i like this challenge.

shannihan14Jul 15, 2010

Easy…have only had 3 in 4 years!

DeanieJul 23, 2010

Gave up soda 6 years ago after my dad died from complications of type 2 diabetes. Best thing I could’ve done! That also motivated me to become a Personal Trainer to help others not suffer miserably like my dad did.

LIVE your life healthy it’s better now and later.

Give up sugar too… no sugary desert tastes better than ripe watermelon!

CarolineOBJul 24, 2010

Just finished my first month with no soda today and think i’m going to continue with it!

fit@40Jul 25, 2010

I just found this site and I am going to try this challenge.I drink 1 or 2 diet soda’s a day.
Another challenge for me would be going without coffee. I have been drinking 2 or 3 large double double’s a day for a couple of years and I am sure that is why I have put on weight.
I will try the soda first and the coffee next month,I think the coffee will be harder for me because everyone around me goes to the coffee shop and always offers to get me one too.

BrookeJul 25, 2010

Hey Bob – I took your challenge head on and haven’t had even a sip of soda since!!! It has been almost 4 months! YAY!!

MichelleJul 26, 2010

I have been soda free for 2 months and feel great! I have more energy and my diet is improving because of it.

aksheffiJul 26, 2010

This should be pretty easy for me because I only drink water. I will just need to remember to watch out at any social events I go to!
