Ok so I am a newbie to this site but here’s my deal. I am 5ft 5in tall and weigh 269lbs… I feel it is time to take control I don’t need to lose 5 or 10 lbs I need to lose over 100 so if giving up soda is my begining then I guess that is where I will begin. So many challenges and it is truly mind blowing but for myself and my daughter who is now following in my footsteps I have to do something.

poseylove32Apr 25, 2010

ughhh soda is my weakness for sure. That would be hard. I have quit soda before & had horrible caffeine headaches & went through withdrawl.. What can I use for a caffenine sub?

sweetpeamaApr 26, 2010

I ended up slipping and had a soda yesterday. Not a big slip though considering that I have a soda once every 3-4 months. Back on the wagon today.

moniqueMay 1, 2010

I started a local ‘Biggest Loser Challenge’ on April 5 and have had no soda since.
Great, considering I would have classed Coke amongst my favorite foods… ;)

ShannonMay 1, 2010

I did it! I went the entire month of April without a drop of soda! (or pop, as we say in Canada, lol) I have never been able to do that before! Bring on the next food/beverage challenge, Bob!!! :)

KristinaMay 3, 2010

I am on day 22…I gave up Mountain Dew a year and 4 months ago and found myself just stuck on another pop, Pepsi. So no more…I started a little late but doint great so far! I love controlling the pop and not letting it control me!

mistievans456May 3, 2010

I am on week 4 day 1 of no soda, fast food, junk food, or chocolate…..I have been eating a lot healthier, but have only lost 5 pounds….still working on it :) Going to now limit my calorie intake and go from there :)

NicoleMay 3, 2010

I have gone 4 months without soda…I don’t even miss it now!

disneygeekMay 3, 2010

WHEELEJOMay 3, 2010

HAHA this one is personally easy for me been weaned off soda for years, now a sip of it makes me nauseated.

candisMay 4, 2010

I just joined today!!!

I am ready to give up soda….I am not a big soda drinker…only sometimes in a cocktail…..I can easily give it up!!!

The only soda I ever do drink is clear soda ( like 7up or sprite) and the occasional diet root beer….

candisMay 4, 2010

I just joined today!!

I’s super excited to join the challenge!!

Not a big soda drinker anyway, so shouldn’t be too hard

mgsabelMay 4, 2010

This is not a problem because I usually only have 1 or 2 sodas a month so I can give up those 2 sodas very easily.

Lv2cuSmileMay 4, 2010

I just joined Bob’s site yesterday. I am going to give this challenge a go. I rarely drink water. I pretty much always drink diet soda. I know there is alot of sodium in it…and i can do without it. Just gotta break out my Brita Water pitcher and have water available at all times.

AvivaJayeMay 4, 2010

I haven’t had ONE soda in 18 months!!
I’ve lost 100 lbs in the past 17 months!
I have run 2 5K’s in the past week ..first time was the morning after last week’s texas BL. I was so inspired!
I’m so motivated to reach my goal…just 14.4 to go!
totally inspired by BL and Bob and Jillian!
thanks!!!
A

sephiakia01May 4, 2010

I have not had any soda diet or sugar pop since Jan 1st. That was my new years resolutions. I have lost 15lbs. My goal is to loose another 30lbs. Wish me luck!

DRENEEHAACKMay 4, 2010

I am very rarely a soda drinker! once in a blue moon! my drink of choice is water! I drink 4- 32oz cups a day at work and then when i work out i drink even more! Can I drink too much water! The one vice i have is i love to make my own hot mocha drinks, 2 cups of coffee, a packet of swiss miss hot cooca and a drop of cream! yummie! that is what I have just got a kick on drinking! (last 2 weeks) never been a coffee drinker really! Just always drink water! I hope everyone can kick the habit of soda!!! your body will thank you!
:) Bottoms ‘em up!

ssimon1541May 5, 2010

I’ve gone 3 weeks without soda now…not knowing about his challenge. I am doing a contest for my weight loss support group and give out challenges for points.

mmmanalangMay 8, 2010

I have gone from drinking 3!! cans of pop a day to 1 of those 100 calorie small cans. Soon I will be pop free!! I cant wait. =)

ashleyMay 8, 2010

I have been drinking tons of soda for years non stop but this month i decided to take the challenge its been one wk and i feel great

StacyMay 9, 2010

Wow, the month has gone by since I have started this challenge and it was hard at first. Especially with the headaches from the no caffine. But now that the month is up I it feels great not being addicted to the soda. But let me tell you I am ready to treat myself to a pepsi tomorrow. I can’t wait for the smell and the taste. But I know this challenge has helped me to acheive something I was trying to do which was cut out the soda from my everyday and just let it be a treat once and a while. Thanks for the challenge.

RC4524May 10, 2010

Just signed up and read this… guess I’m on the right track, I’ve already gone two months!

KellyMay 11, 2010

Ok.. I am late getting this.. but am starting today.. one month.. good way to save some money!!! THANKS BOB!!!!

skizokeMay 11, 2010

I didn’t start on April 1st, but I did finally stop drinking soda on April 22nd. That is the last time I have had any and I don’t plan to pick it up again anytime soon. My water intake has gone from maybe 5% water per week to about 95% per week. It’s going really well, I also started a diet on April 15th and have lost over 20 pounds in 26 days.

I was a soda addict. It was not unusual for me to have about 5-6 mt dew while at work from 8-5 and another 2-4 while at home before I went to sleep.

Thanks!

pinkeryMay 11, 2010

ive wemt 4 mo. without 1 all i drink now is water and i love it

EdMay 11, 2010

I just found your site. But I will start working towards my month without pop. It will not be easy for me. I am not a big eater. But I always have a pop near by. I am getting close to 300 pounds after 23 years of yo yo dieting. And I have always known that giving up all that sugar would help. But as of yet I haven’t been able to give up my habit of almost 4 liters of pepsi a day. Time to start drinking some water!

pamgillette@embarqmail.comMay 11, 2010

I have seriously cut down my diet soda in the past several weeks (probably one every other day) and I will try and cut it out completely starting today!

rox5carMay 11, 2010

I’ve been without soda for over a year! I was so moved by the BL show that showed how much sugar the contestants drank. And the fact that they had to use a cement mixer to dump it. Wow.
Soda’s just not good 4 u. I mean it’s good for cleaning your sink drain. Not good for your insides!!!

ndlb1825May 12, 2010

No soda for one month…no soda for one month…I’m trying to wrap my brain around it. I trust you Bob — so no soda for a month it is starting tomorrow — since I’ve had two today (Which isn’t bad, I usual average about four cans of regular a day; forget the diet. If I’m going to intake, it’s going to be the real thing.)

No soda it is.

JessieMay 12, 2010

Yes, I’m strong enough! I stopped drink soda about 7 years ago and I’m only 23 years old! :D

ceperezMay 13, 2010

I had a diet soda today. Typically about once a week I will drink soda. Normally I drink water or green tea.
I will start this tomorrow. For one month no soda.
I am strong enough!

ceperezMay 13, 2010

I had a diet soda today so I will start tomorrow. Thirty days I am strong enough to go without soda. I will drink more water.

ShannonMay 13, 2010

I’ve gone an entire year without drinking any carbonated beverage of any kind. I just decided one day to give it up and it’s been so easy. I had to take a pill one night and didn’t want to open anything so I thought what the heck….a sip of my husbands diet coke in the fridge just to wash the pill down….what a mistake…I almost choked…it was so nasty tasting…I knew at that moment I’d never go back to drinking pop.

autisticmomMay 13, 2010

I gave up sodas about a year ago, just resently had an upset stomach. My husband bought some 7-up thinking it may help, I took one sip and told him I couldn’t drink it, I felt the acid and sugars in my thoat and couldn’t handle it. I didn’t realize what an impact one year without sodas did for me not only did I lose about 5 pounds from dropping sodas but I lost the desire to drink them, what a way to change your diet.

JessieMay 13, 2010

This one was easy. I don’t even drink soda, I stopped drink it for about 7 years ago and I’m only 23 years old! :D

TSUE77May 14, 2010

OMG I don’t know if I can do this one…. I’m addicted to caffine.

TSUE77May 14, 2010

I don’t know about this one… I’m addicted to coke and pepsi’s bad.

TSUE77May 14, 2010

I don’t know about this one I’m addicted I guess you could say bad….

Heath_Emerson@hotmail.comMay 14, 2010

Thanks Bob!!!!

Well I did it! It was harder than I thought it would be at first, but it got easier. I did have a soda after the month was over, but it was not as good as I remembered. It is not that I have anything against it, I just automatically grab my water. All the money I am saving by not buying soda is nice too!
