Love the challenges! Myself and two co-workers have started doing them every day and are really liking them. They are a great encouragement for us to keep up on our fitness goals.

What do you suggest I do to accommodate a bad knee (split the cartilage 15 years ago)? Right now, whenever I try to do squats or lunges I can only do 3 or 4 and my knee starts to hurt. Plus, the next day I can have problems doing the simplest things, like walking. Please help.

To Debbie,
When I started to work-out, I went to my Dr. for a complete physical before, (I also have a right knee) that I would call a bum-knee. After I received a complete ok from my Dr. I began my exercising. I started out slow, not like biggest loser–but I did what I could, always working towards a goal. The next day–every muscle in my body ached. I purchased a knee brace & I continued to exercise thru the pain. Ice helped before going to bed too. After about 2 months, my bum knee is great & I still get pain there, but only if I do not exercise for a day or two, then I exercise again. The trick for me is to exercise everyday–even Sunday. I hope this helps. My dr. took me off all my blood pressure meds–2 weeks now. My dr. said to continue to exercise, it will save my life. I lost a total of 40 pounds–and I plan to lose at least 60 more–but I will continue to exercise forever.

Bob, is this in place of my workout or in addition to my regular work out? Keep the challenges coming – can’t wait to incorporate them into my workouts! Thought of an iphone app for the challenges?
