Are you in my head, Bob?? Ran 10k this am instead of 5k!! Burn, baby, burn ;)

RobertFeb 12, 2010

Bob, this is great, but at my current weight, an extra 20 minutes would allow me to burn up 400 to 450 calories… I have been adding 10 minutes as of now… plan to add the 20 in a week or 2 (total of 45 to 50 minutes per day)… it is a goal of mine! I have officially lost 25 lbs… thanks to your videos and your positive encouragement. I never knew how discouraging the super exercise videos can be when starting from scratch. I will get there, eventually, but baby steps are fine as long as I am stepping, right? Thank you, as always.

Woohoo! I feel like I am getting the best of both worlds for my fitness training. I am doing a workout routine through Jillian Michael and now getting additional tips from you. Let the change begin! :)

I so want to do this but I’m finding I get burnt out so fast on cardio. I could lift weights all day but can’t keep my mind focused when it comes to cardio. Any suggestions on how to change things up a bit?

AlexFeb 12, 2010

Dude, really? That means I gotta do an hour and 20 minutes of cardio? Alright…next workout is tomorrow. It shall be done.

Jennifer – Try a group class. I met my goal weight 2+ years ago, but find staying with the cardio STINKS!!!! I LOVE Zumba and can burn between 500 – 800 calories per hour. Good luck! You will get there, I promise!

This tip is almost spooky – I did the 20 minute session from the Biggest Looser Bootcamp DVD after my normal run today (the DVD arrived in the post this week after I’ve been obsessed with the show for the last few months!) and although my legs are killing me now, I feel great!

Like a few other people have already said, it’s like you’re in my head!! Thanks Bob!

Hello Bob,
I’m really in trouble. I gained 10lbs in the past 4 months.
I go to work, come home to cook. By the time I’m done cooking I really have to energy to exercise. What can I do to keep my energy level going and want to exercise?
Please help.

Thank you.

Shannon BairFeb 18, 2010

I am the same I gained 12lbs over the last 4 months, so right after work I go straight to a workout, before I cook, clean, or anything really, even if its just for 30 mins, its better then sitting around, I have better energy throughout the night now and sleep better.

I have to say if you thought the bootcamp one was hard, you need to try the last workout wow that one almost killed me lol.

I did it! added 20 to my workout! Felt great! The best thing was that the extra 20 min didn’t drop by BG too low. Logged in at 112 when I was done. Being Type 1 can really stink when you are trying to up your workouts. Thanks Bob!

Well I added an extra 20 mins to my hike, I felt really good when I was done, I am also planning on adding another 20 mins to my run tonight after work. Thanks Bob!

I want to run a 5 K run. Where do I start. I have just started with the biggest loser dvds and am enjoying them.

KarenMar 1, 2010

I really miss my bob page.
Jackie I too am running a 5k, my first. I have the biggest loser dvd’s as well. The bootcamp one is really good. I started my training on a tread mill. Once the weather is nice I have a 3mil maped out around town to start road running. Treadmill is a good place to start. I go to a local gym and I use the incline as well so once I get on the road the hills wont kill me.
