Thanks for the message. Because I work the night shift 4 nights a week, I have a hard time fitting in all my exercising. Your message really helps me not get discouraged with how much work it is to Just Do It.

Head in the game, that’s what it’s about. Gotta go at it hardcore. It’s the only way. So many of us just don’t love ourselves, value ourselves to make it all about ourselves sometimes which I think is what’s needed. Bob, You’re the best. Rock on man.

Bob, I’m usually very motivated but I do find it hard on those days I’m just exhausted or not feeling well to push myself to exercise. I’m wondering how do you force yourself to workout when you don’t feel well or feel too tired? Thanks!!!

Motivation is the main thing that I struggle most with, along with trying to juggle everything else thrown in. I guess my main motivation is knowing that I’ve done it before, and that I want to be healthy, especially since the majority of my family is overweight, and some has diabetes- and my grandmother died of a stroke a few years ago, but before that she was confined to a moto-scooter because she couldn’t walk on her knees. With my knees being bad too, I don’t want that to happen to me.

It is amazing what the motivation of friends can do. I knew some people from church who were going to a gym in town, so I decided to join. For a month now I have been doing 4 hours of zumba per week and I also started going to spin class for 2-3 hours pee week. My friends constantly check in with me via facebook and Twitter to make sure I will be joining them at each class. They are making me be accountable to working out. They also leave me messages about how proud they are of me. This keeps me going. It’s not easy…..I am trying to lose almost 200 pounds, but with the support of others and the knowledge that I CAN do this, I will meet that goal!

Staying motivated is always my biggest problem. I can start off all gung ho and determined to do it but eventually I go off track and that’s the end. I have over 100 pounds to lose and I think that’s why it’s hard to keep up the motivation, it seems an impossible task.

I’d love to get your DVD’s but money is so incredibly tight right now that there’s no way I can afford it. Right now we have $20 to get us through till next Friday. We can barely afford groceries right now so that makes it really tough to buy healthy food, junk is cheaper and that sucks.
Any suggestions as to how to eat healthy when money is really tight?

Love ya Bob!!

Bob, you rock!
You’ve been my motivation to really commit to exercise rather than just doing some random exercise every now and again. I’m loving it and had no idea how hard I can push myself!! I have some way to go still but am catching up with the really fit girls at all the classes I go to (and some of the guys, too!).
Thank you!

Bob, you rock!
You’ve been my motivation to really commit to exercise, rather then just training randomly every now and again. I am loving it and never new that I could push myself this hard! I’m catching up with the really fit and strong girls at the gym (and even some of the guys!).
Thanks Bob!

Thank you Bob! I have no excuses but to do it! No one can fix my body but me.

silke July 20, 2010 at 3:12 pm

Whoops, I posted twice because I thought it wasn’t working!
But you’re so good I’ll say it three times – you rock Bob!

Thanks Bob…you rock!

Sheila July 23, 2010 at 3:48 am

I agree Bob! You have to live it! Its not about exercising now and then or eating healthy now and then, you have to live it and learn ways to gain knowledge and motivation.

Anja July 23, 2010 at 7:42 am

Bob, just wanted to let you know that even me and my friends in Germany love you and benefit from your work! There’s nothing like you (and Jillian) here in Germany! Thanks for kicking my behind every time!

Talina July 24, 2010 at 3:53 pm

Thanks for reminding me that each day is different and it can be hard or easy. The important thing is to keep working at it even pushing thru the hard days. (and they are HARD days) – But then at the end of the day, I did something I couldn’t do before! THAT gets me excited and going again.

I can’t even get motivated…. I need to lose weight and want to but just can’t seem to get myself started. UGH… Sometimes I just feel like it is hopeless.

befitwithjenne August 12, 2010 at 6:09 pm

With the heat being so high and working out in all day as a General Contractor I feel off for 3 days, your workouts are challenging on there own and I just didn’t have the energy to do one, so I was able to switch it up with one I had on DVD just to workout yesterday, woke this AM feeling weak and tired but now that you posted this I know I will get in your Cardio w/o today, Thanks for the pep talk I needed one!! Your the Man!!

Thanks Bob, you are a rock star! I was one of those unmotivated people..tired of being uncomfortable and fat and after my third son was born I looked in the mirror and said enough! I hired a personal trainer and I worked my butt off! You are right, there is no finish line..this is a life change. I took control of my life back, went to counseling to get to the root, and to date I have lost 117 pounds. I continue to work with a trainer as well as by myself, people in the gym think I have lost my mind! My hubby is deployed right now (AF) and so I have to work my workout into my schedule..from dropping kids off, picking them up, activities, errands, etc. Nothing stops me from taking care of me first..and it is not uncommon for me to be in the gym at midnight or running around the track at 5:00 am before my day gets crazy. I hear a lot of people saying they dont have time..I know it is hard, MAKE TIME! I don’t love the gym, and I don’t love having to pre-plan out my meals and I hate being away from my family..but I LOVE the Mom and wife my family gets and I LOVE the person I am now. Good luck everyone, thanks again Bob! One day I am going to meet you and when I do I am gonna be sexy! ;-)
