Let me start off by saying that my schedule has been nuts this past year and I have been so excited about having some time off so you can imagine when I found out that there was going to be a “bootcamp” set up this past weekend for the eliminated contestants from Season 7, I was way too tired to commit.  So I went out this past Saturday to check up on them and give them a workout….. well let me tell you, I had the best time with them!  They were all so happy to be there and it was such a positive experience.  We had a great workout and a GREAT time just reconnecting.  I was so excited about our experience that I set up a time to go out there again on Sunday AND today, which is Monday.  I was juggling 15 people at a time and doing my best to give them the best possible workout and then every day we finished off with a great meditation.  It was FANTASTIC!!  There are times when we are shooting the show that filming and many other things, especially THE GAME, interfere with the work that is the most important to me, working out.  So now all of a sudden I have a whole group of people that are there because they want to be and we have no other agenda other than health and wellness.  It has got me thinking about doing some sort of bootcamp that is open to the public that people can come for a long weekend of working out, motivational speaking, hiking, nutrition, yoga and meditation.  I would be very interested in your thoughts on this, so let me know.  Most all of the eliminated people are doing great and it was really fun to work with some people that I didn't get a chance to work with during their stay on the ranch, namely Jerry & Estella from the white team, Blaine from the black team and Daniel from the orange team.  I LOVED them!!  They were amazing.  I got to feel so reenergized from working with them and I am so grateful that I got this opportunity.  Let me know your thoughts on my idea of Bob's Bootcamp.  Would you come??  I'm going to see Billy Joel and Elton John tonight.  I will tell you all about it…..

Hey everyone….. I hope you had a good day.  Well I just got back from Detroit MI working, which was great but I gotta tell you that the car industry is really hurting right now there and you can feel it in the air.  This economy has got to turn around and we really do have to trust the process and trust our leaders right now.  It brings me to a very good point that I always talk to my contestant's about on the show, I have a sign in the the gym that says, “Believe in yourself, trust the process, change forever.”  This is a time that we must trust the process.  This holds true with people that want to change their lives for whatever reason, in my industry it is all about health.  So when you decide to make a change and you have 20lbs or 200lbs to lose, what you must do is trust that what you do today will really make a difference in the big picture.  All you can do is think about the day at hand.  Did you make the proper food choices?  Did you make time to exercise?  Are you taking responsibility for your actions?  Are you in control of your life?  Your destiny?  Just put your mind and your efforts into this day and trust the process, knowing that what you are doing WILL make a difference.  I watched The Oprah Show today, LOVE HER!!!!!  Anyway, she was talking about people that were morbidly obese and I'm not talking about my friends on the show, I'm talking 800lbs and more.  It was gut wrenching to see their struggles and they also showed a rehab center for the morbidly obese, which makes so much sense because I have always said that overeating is an addiction to food.  It was so hard to see people that have lost all hope and that have let go, for whatever reason, but having a rehab center for people that need that support was very uplifting.  It was a powerful show.  I hope you got to see it.

Now onto some personal news.  I have been dealing with a foot injury….UGH!!!  I have what is called a Morton's Neuroma in my left foot and it has been so painful during all of season 7.  I thought it would go away but it didn't so now I have been fitted for orthotics and today I was able to run 6 miles.  I was so happy not to have that pain today.  We will see if they continue to work.

I'm excited that the eliminated contestants are coming back this weekend for a boot camp before the finale which is May 12th.  It is going to be so much fun to see everyone and work them out again.  We have never done this before so I know they are excited and so am I.  Okay, I hope you all have a good and healthy dinner tonight and I will speak to you very soon.  xoxox

Okay, it has been way too long since I have posted!!! Please forgive me.  Work has been crazy and I got to go on a little vacation for 10 days.  I was in Paris and it was so unbelievable.  I stayed at a place called the Plaza Athenee and got to see everything including The Louvre, the Picasso Museum, the Rodin Museum, Musee D'Orsay and Versailles.  Versailles was so spectacular and HUGE!!!  I did a bike tour of Paris by a company called Bike About Tours, which I highly recommend if you ever get a chance to go.

I have to tell you the main thing that I learned when I was there in regards to health and fitness.  I noticed that people were eating basically whatever they wanted but here was the key… They would have their 3 meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner and there was really no snacking whatsoever, and they walk or ride their bikes everywhere so they are on the go.  Also, the foods had much smaller portions than in America, and most of all their foods were all natural, without a bunch of preservatives to increase the shelf life of their foods.  I really do believe that they are onto something there.  I really want you all to start reading the nutrition facts of the foods you are eating and if you don't know what something is or you can't pronounce it, put it back on the shelves or in the freezer.  With a very few exceptions, the bulk of your food should have a shelf life of no more than 2 weeks.  Keep your freezer stocked with frozen veggies and when your sweet tooth hits you, keep plenty of fruit in your fridge.  I always have a section of my fridge devoted to all kinds of fruit so I can quickly grab a healthy and nutritious snack.  When we last talked, I was wanting you to check your fiber intake.  I hope that went well and you are continuing to get your fiber in.  Are you feeling fuller, longer?  Are you staying “regular”?? (I know, but I have to ask because it is VERY important).

So after my trip to Paris, I came back home and had to do a little more work for BL and now we have finally wrapped the season except for the finale.  It was a LONG season.  I hope you are enjoying the show and all the drama but most of all, I hope that you are staying inspired.  You have the show to help you and you have me right here at mytrainerbob.com to be there for you and listen to you.  Stay strong and stay motivated to continue this plan of health and wellness.  I will talk to you VERY SOON.  God Bless.
