So I read this article when it first came out and whenever I see people talking about “quick fixes” it gives me reason to be concerned.  I don't understand how you eat cookies to lose weight and what kind of message it gives.  Don't get me wrong, I love a cookie just as much as the next person but is that all I want to eat to lose weight… NO WAY!!  I think by now you know what I think about “diets” like this.  I want you to read this and tell me what you think. Weigh in on the positive and negatives about this.  I'm very excited to hear what YOU have to say.

So the other day I shot a commercial for Brita Filtered Water and the Filter For Good Bottle, which I use every single day when I work out.  I am so excited to be partnering with Brita and showing people how important it is to stay hydrated. I had a talk with a couple of the guys from Brita today and we were discussing how much water an individual should be drinking and we have all heard it before that we need about 8 glasses a day.  I always tell people that your urine should be very clear and that is a good sign that you are hydrated. Darker colored urine means that you are dehydrated.  It is kind of funny to talk about urine but regarding hydration, it is extremely important.  So there is my water tip for the day, make sure you have light colored urine to know that you are properly hydrated…. and use a Brita Filter System and a Filter for Good Bottle and help yourself AND the environment.

ABBY!!!  I got so many comments about the episode this week and how moved they were by Abby and her story.  She is such a special person and when she got to the moment where she basically threw herself on the sword for her team, it just brought a tear to my eye.  I think that Abby's story is very important because we can all learn something from it and I have always talked about “triumph of the spirit” and she is the definition of that phrase.  Life, or rather death, slapped her in the face and she was looking for a way to be happy and love again, and while she was staying at the ranch with Jillian and I, she was able to find it again.  Abby is a true example of picking yourself up and getting back into the game of life under the absolute worst conditions.  I know that Abby has changed and when I saw her “where are they now” segment and saw her speaking to that group, she had such a confidence in her face and hope in her eye.  I love that woman so much and feel grateful that she shared her story with all of us.  On a side note, there was one interview bite where she called Tracy crazy and I thought it was hilarious.  Just her delivery on that just cracked me up.  I also thought it was so cool that Derek Jeter was a part of our show and the challenge was kind of fun.  Season 8 has been a great group of people and them being so honest and open has hopefully inspired you to make a change in your life.  Start living a healthy lifestyle today!!!  It is never too late!!!
