Hey mytrainerbob.  Well it is 10:20am in NYC and I'm sitting at the airport waiting to get back to LA.  It has been a fast trip.  I arrived Sunday night and spent Monday working, talking about the benefits of chewing Wrigley Extra Sugar free gum for a snack.  I know it sounds crazy to a lot of you but it really does work!!  I got to do a little shopping in the city in the afternoon, YAY!!!  And then I went to see a show, Avenue Q.  I know, I know, it has been out for years and why haven't I ever seen it.  I'm not too keen on seeing a puppet show.  It was cute but very forgettable.  Usually after a show there is much to discuss over a late night dinner, however with this show, there was nothing to really say.  After dinner I got back to my hotel and went straight to bed.  Got up Tuesday morning and let me tell you, it was COLD outside!!!  I went to do the Today Show with Damian.  He is such a funny guy and a heart as big as his legs, LOL!!  He is gonna love that I said that.  We did the interview with Ann.  It was short and sweet.  I am glad that I got the message out there that it has so much to do with self worth and trusting the process.  That is what it is ALL about.  You have to find that self love for you to make real changes.  People always ask me how they can keep the motivation and I always tell them that it has to come from that self respect that you must work on and create on a daily basis for you to sustain what I want you to.  I understand how difficult it is, but that should not be a reason to not try.  Even if you have to try every single day until it sticks, you are worth it enough to make that commitment.  I believe in you, now is the time to start believing in yourself.

I can't believe that I have to land in LA and go right to the campus and do a last chance workout. We have a weigh in tomorrow and EVERYONE is looking so great.

Until next time…xoxox

We have a new President!!!!  This morning I had to get up and be at work  very early.  I had to take my team to Muscle Beach in Santa Monica, CA for their last chance workout.  We had such a great time.  They have been stuck on campus for awhile and so going anywhere for them is a treat right now and it was so beautiful there today.  The temperature was about 80 degrees and sunny.  We worked hard and sweat and then it was time to go back to campus.  There has been such a great energy around town today because of the election.  Do you feel it where you are.  I really do believe that change is good and GOOD is coming.  On a side note…...I wasn't too keen on what Michelle Obama was wearing today.  It was a little old fashioned.  I wanted her to be a little younger and fresher….LOL!!!

How is your fitness lifestyle going??  Are you setting up your priorities?  I had a very interesting revelation on the show today and I'm gonna share it with you without revealing too much.  I have always told people that you have to put yourself at the top of your priority list and in MOST situations I still believe that to be true.  So many people put everyone before themselves and then have nothing left and as a result they neglect themselves and it could manifest into an unhealthy lifestyle.  I think that you MUST take care of yourself so that you have more to give your kids, family, work or anyone else but when dealing with parents that will always put their kids before them there is a little gray area that I'm not used to because I tend to be very black and white.  I think that there are some circumstances when dealing with parents that they are able to put themselves at the top of their list ALONGSIDE their kids.  Helping their kids can in turn motivate them to begin to take care of themselves…...  So if you have kids and your life is all about them and their welfare, more power to you but please don't lose yourself during the process.  Your kids need ALL of you and you need to be working on all cylinders to help them and also HELP YOU!!!  God, I love my job so much.  It is a learning experience every single day and this season has become a personal journey for me too…...CRAZY!!!

Well hey everyone at mytrainerbob!!!  It has been a crazy week for me.  First let's go ahead and get out of the way the main thing that everyone has been talking about this week…my meltdown with Joelle on last weeks episode.  Let me just say that it was a very intense week with Joelle and she was really testing my patience every single day.  When nine people had to go home the first week I put even more pressure than usual on every single person there, and Joelle was definitely acting like she didn't want to be there and was looking for an easy way out.  And let me tell you, there is no easy way on The Biggest Loser.  She just kept stopping right before her potential every time and I needed her to break out of her comfort zone and she just didn't want to do it.  When she kept stopping at 20 seconds, I just flipped out!!!  Can you believe how many times I dropped the “F” Bomb…OUCH!!!  When I saw the episode I just cringed, but what you didn't see was the way we were able to grow from that experience.  I think her losing 2lbs at the weigh in really was a big wake up call for her but let me just say, wait until the next episode because you are gonna see Carla UNLEASH!!!!  Well that clip of me freaking out has been everywhere this week.  I saw it on The Soup, Access Hollywood, Extra, The Best Week Ever and when I did Larry King Live this week, he showed me the clip WHILE I WAS SITTING THERE!!!  It was just madness.  Doing Larry King Live is always fun.  I have done that show several times now but I just need to clear up a mistake I made on the show regarding the casting of our show.  I said that it was Reveille that does the casting.  I was mistaken, it is 3Ball Productions, and JD Roth is the guy that really puts in a lot of blood, sweat, and tears when it comes to casting our show, so I wanted JD to get the recognition that he deserves.  After doing Larry King there was a lot of production work for season 7 because you know that we are still shooting this season.  We have about 5 more weeks left of shooting and let me just say…THEY ARE GETTING SO SKINNY!!!!  There is also never a dull moment at work right now… just wait.

I also had to fly to Arkansas to visit the great people at Wal-Mart.  I got to attend a Saturday meeting that was going to be the last meeting that Lee Scott, the CEO of Wal-Mart would be attending because he is retiring.  He is a great and very innovative man and much loved there in Arkansas.  I got to speak in front of over 3 thousand people about The Pound for Pound Challenge that we are doing with General Mills and Feeding America.  It is going extremely well with well over 1.3 million pounds of food to be delivered to local food banks across the United States.  And before I forget, I got to meet so many great people including a really sweet person named Elizabeth so if you are reading this, I told you I would give you a shout out!!  After the Saturday meeting, I flew back to Los Angeles and basically had to come home and lay on my back because I pulled a muscle while working out and BOY DOES IT HURT!!  And it is now Sunday night and I am still feeling it.  I went to the movies and saw The Reader with Kate Winslet, my favorite.  It was really good and I'm getting ready to have a little dinner and rest up for another busy week.  Can you believe the inauguration is this Tuesday?  I am so excited and you can really feel a shift that is about to happen in our country…It's gonna be a great 2009!!!  I will be flying to NYC to do The Today Show on the 27th and will keep you posted on the rest of my schedule so until then, keep those great e-mails coming in and I will speak to you very soon…xoxoxox

Hey guys….so check it out, I have been doing alot of traveling.  I flew to NYC on Sunday and got to hang out with some good friends of mine for a little bit and then on Monday morning I had to go to the rehearsal for the Regis and Kelly show.  They wanted me to wear workout clothes but I didn't really want to so I said no.  I don't think that the producer was too happy with me but in the end, I didn't think it really mattered.  After the rehearsal, I went and did a little shopping a couple of my favorite stores in NY, Rick Owens, Jeffrey and Atelier.  They are the BEST men's stores in NY and I had too much fun buying some new clothes…..I like to shop way too much, hahahaha.  After that I went to Barney's uptown and had lunch with a friend of mine.  I ate a few french fries and the waiter looked at me with judgement…..he asked me if I really wanted that.  I thought that was funny.  Later that night I went to an off Broadway show called, The Marvelous Wonderettes.  It was very cute and the lead girl had an amazing voice.  After a busy day, I went back to my hotel and prepared for a very busy Tuesday.  I got up early and did the Today Show to promote Season 7 and then jumped into a car to quickly get to The Regis and Kelly Show.  They were so nice to me and we had a great time.  I loved Kelly!!!  She is so tiny and so sweet.  I just wanted to squeeze her.  When I was finished with that I had to get to the airport and fly to Minneapolis, MN and boy was it cold.  I had the rest of the day off so I walked around town.  They have structured their city with tunnels and tubes to get from one building to the next without ever going outside.  I decided to brave the outside because I live in LA and we don't get weather like that.  I then went back to my hotel.  I stayed at a place called, The Chambers and I absolutely love this hotel.  I am fond of modern art and they have a great collection.   Check it out on their website sometime.  I got in a good workout at the hotel and then I got ready and watched the premiere with a producer from my show and some people that work with General Mills.  We had a really good time and I thought the show was great!!!!  Wait until you see me yell next week.  I had a contestant that really pushed me over the edge….we made up.  After the show, we had a little dinner and I went back to my room and CRASHED!!!  The next morning I did an interview live on a radio station there and then I was off to General Mills to speak to the employees and executives there and I had the BEST TIME!!  Everyone was so great and we are so excited about the launch of The Pound for Pound Challenge.  If you haven't made a pledge yet, GET ON IT!!  I am going to have my face on cereal boxes which is kind of cool.  They presented me with a box of Wheaties with me on the box and I thought that was SO COOL!!  So the next time you are at the grocery store, look for me in the cereal aisle.  When all that was done, I went to a local school and hung out with some 8th graders, which was alot of fun and then it was back to LA.  I got home last night, watched the premiere of Damages and got up early this morning and had to speak to a bunch of radio stations live over the phone promoting my book, Are You Ready! that just came out in paperback.  If you haven't gotten it yet, get it today!!!  After that, I got to workout a writer for Yahoo that wanted to get a Biggest Loser workout and boy did I give her the workout of her life.  She was hurting and I had the best time doing it.  You will get to see it on yahoo's home page soon because we shot the whole thing…..get ready to laugh.  When that was done, I went and worked out and now I'm here…..boy am I tired!!!!

Hey everybody on MyTrainerBob.com! It's your trainer, Bob.

Well it is Wednesday morning, the morning after the premiere of Season 7 of The Biggest Loser and I gotta say… it was GREAT!!! All of those contestants are so great and in need of help. I was so moved by Nicole on the scale in tears. She just broke my heart. And did you see the previews for next week? I have a complete breakdown. LOL! I really lost my mind that day and I don't do that. Wait until you see it. You are gonna crack up.

Well I just left NYC yesterday after doing the Today Show with Regis and Kelly. All the guys at The Today Show are so great. I love doing that show with them. I did Regis and Kelly for the first time yesterday and they were so nice to me. Kelly is TINY!!! When we were rolling all over those balls together, I had the best time with them. I can't wait to go back to that show.

Now it is Wednesday morning and I'm in Minneapolis meeting with the guys at General Mills because we have launched a program called, The Pound for Pound Challenge.
