Hi, Bob. I have a question about the journal page. On the workout journal, there is a drop box for intensity. How do I determine the percentage of intensity? Does it involve heart rate? Oh, and your vlog was great :)

sierra July 27, 2010 at 4:24 pm

that was great — hope you do more q&a’s — i especially loved the answers on diet, specifically vegan. thanks so much.

p.s. – just got my set of your dvd’s in the mail yesterday — so excited to begin them — and a little scared too :)

Mary July 27, 2010 at 4:30 pm

Bob,
Please do more of these it would be great to see it weekly, although I’m sure your busy schedule won’t allow that. I was wondering why the requirement for BL have to be more than 100 pounds overweight. There are lots of obese people, me included, out there that don’t meet that criteria but need help. Can’t they develop a show like a spin off of BL that deals with everyday overweight people that don’t meet the over 100 pound criteria. Maybe it could be something like Jillian did during the off season of BL. Please help us overweight but not morbidly obese people that struggle everday. For instance, I need to lose about 60 pounds, my BMI is in the obese category but it still leaves me out from going on the show.

brutus80 July 27, 2010 at 4:36 pm

I really enjoyed the Q&As… Thanks Bob! I love the education I’m getting on your website!!

hgreenwalt@gmail.com July 27, 2010 at 4:44 pm

What are your thoughts on “diet pills” or “energy pills”? Do you think they really help to burn extra fat or just a way for us to get energy to workout more which then leads to that extra burn?

Jennifer Buckle July 27, 2010 at 4:50 pm

Thanks Bob!! I love this because it reaffirms the choices I am making. The answers tell me, yes, I am doing it right!!

yani July 27, 2010 at 6:05 pm

bob thats exellent, i love the casual conversation please do more like this

Lana! July 27, 2010 at 6:05 pm

I LOVE you Bob for taking the time to do that and answer questions. I particularly like the questions/answers about work outs. I too love the treadmill, only I can’t seem to run for more than 30 seconds, ahha. I’ve heard repeatedly from people that the more you do it, the longer you’ll be able to go the next time, but that hasn’t happened for me. I guess I’m just not a runner! I’ll keep trying though.
I hope you can manage fitting more of these question/answer times into your busy schedule. I’ll keep checking in for them. xoxo

leah July 27, 2010 at 6:22 pm

Liz S July 27, 2010 at 6:51 pm

Great video, Bob! I agree with the person who said it felt more personal. I disagree with the person who said it should be longer….the length was perfect, and I didn’t feel overloaded with information. Thanks again!

michelle July 27, 2010 at 7:24 pm

Hope you do more of these. Please make them louder though.

losinglex July 27, 2010 at 7:31 pm

ANA LUCIA SMITH July 27, 2010 at 8:41 pm

Bob, could you please tell me how many calories avarage you burn doing each of your Inside Out Method DVDs??

Thank you

Tova July 27, 2010 at 9:14 pm

Thanks Bob. I knew most of these nutrition tips, but since I’ve been struggling with weight gain, I’ve obviously been slacking & not paying attention to what I KNOW is healthy. Hearing it reiterated from you makes me realize I’ve got some cleaning up to do in my kitchen & when dining out. Love the tip about the incline at a 1 while jogging on the treadmill. And lastly, just received your DVD’s in the mail… where can I find a suggested routine plan for these? Do one a day, every other day, do cardio along with the DVDs? Thank you!

Tova July 27, 2010 at 9:18 pm

I second what Mary said above. A show that targets those of us 60# overweight or so. So many people struggle with being 40-70 lbs overweight. I’d guess most people struggling with weight issues fall into this category. Myself included.

Darlene July 27, 2010 at 9:26 pm

GET TIPS…HOPE YOU KEEP DOING THEM!

Nathalie July 27, 2010 at 10:05 pm

I have a question… If you want to lose weight when are you supposed to eat your carbs? Is it true that you should work out on a near empty stomach so your body will use your stored fat as fuel? Or eat carbs before your workout so you’ll have energy TO workout?

angie July 30, 2010 at 10:43 pm

thank you so much for taking the time to answer our question’s. i think you are full of wonderful infomation that we all should apply in our everyday life.♥

Laury July 31, 2010 at 7:50 pm

I use to weigh 223lbs and I lost close to 30lbs in a 2 year period. Thanks to the help of my parents support. I always wanted to tryout for the Biggest Loser but I am scared to because it is a game and I am a weak person because of my disability and I know it is a little physical and a little mental. I think it would be great if you could tailer the show one season for those with disabilities to show that it can be done. If you did that I know it would help a bigger diverce group out there. IF that were to happen I might tryout.

Dawne July 31, 2010 at 9:16 pm

Nina October 18, 2010 at 2:33 pm

Hi Bob, i would like to start by saying that you are one of my biggest fans, am fan of biggest loser show, it inspires and motivates me to achieve weight loss goals.

i am 27 years old , my biggest problem is getting the lower body in shape espically thighs and glutes.

the problemm is that i work for 8 hours sitting on chair, and although i do intense workout , i am gaining weight from my sides and my thighs. Really need your advice about what to do?? what kind of excercise should i focus on for this area??

thanks

Increase Labito February 27, 2011 at 2:35 am

I need to ask a small uncomfortable question. I know that the blue small pill that I’m taking is bad for the kidneys and not healthy at all. A few years ago, I was daring, but today that’s not the situation. I sense scared whenever I choose to swallow the pill. Oh yeah, it could be nice if my partner was able to take too something :) ) So, you’re my faith – what to do now?! This is an essential question not only for me privately, but as I suppose for all mankind. Thank you in advance, I have a preference to not to discover my actual person’s name.
