My Fit Food – Oatmeal

I have been trying a lot of different things in my oatmeal recently… and LOVE this combo. Have you tried this? What do you put in your oatmeal?? xx..Bob



Ingredients

    • ½ cup Oatmeal
    • 1/3 – ½ cup water (maybe more, maybe less depending on your preference)
    • Small apple, cored and cut into small cubes
    • 2 tbsp chopped Almonds
    • Dash Cinnamon

      Procedure

        • Combine dry oatmeal with chopped apple and almonds
        • Pour hot water and stir
        • Top with a dash of cinnamon

          My Fit Food – My Protein Shake

          I get SO many questions about how to incorporate protein! Try this shake! You will LOVE it and as always I have included instructions below..xox Bob

          Ingredients

          • 3/4 cup dry measure oatmeal, cooked in water and cooled
          • 2 scoops vanilla protein
          • 1 ½ cups of seasonal berries: ex- strawberries, blueberries, blackberries
          • 12 oz. water or almond milk  (Bob uses half of each)

          Procedure

          • Combine all in blender and “liquefy” for 30 seconds.

          Ingredients

          • Half of a Whole Grain English Muffin
          • ½ Banana, sliced in ¼” rounds
          • 1 tbsp Almond or Peanut Butter
          • Drizzle Agave (optional)

          Procedure

          • Toast half of a whole grain English muffin
          • Spread 1 tbsp almond or peanut butter on muffin and top with sliced banana. For a sweeter taste, drizzle on agave.

          My Fit Food – Yogurt Parfait

          My yogurt parfait is delicious! Ready to make your own? Here are the ingredients and the procedure one more time..xox Bob

          Ingredients

          • Greek Yogurt (or soy yogurt), one serving
          • ½ cup seasonal berries
          • 2 tsp hemp or flax seed
          • 1 tbsp pumpkin seed
          • drizzle agave (optional)

          Procedure

          • Place half of the yogurt (or soy yogurt) in bowl or tall glass
          • Top with half of the fruit, hemp or flax seed, pumpkin seed and drizzle of agave
          • Add remaining yogurt
          • Top with remaining seasonal fruit, hemp or flax, pumpkin seed, drizzle agave
          • Enjoy!

          New Beginnings

          New Beginnings

          As you know, I just wrapped season 11 of The Biggest Loser and my best friend, Jillian is leaving to pursue new endeavors; I will miss her, but all of this change has made me think a lot about new beginnings!

          Throughout the years on the show, I have learned so much about myself.  One thing that I found to be most important in succeeding is a fresh routine.  With summer fast approaching, new things are blossoming everywhere, as with every season’s change, and I want you to focus on implementing freshness into your life.

          I have received your letters, Tweets and Facebook posts… and guess what? I LISTENED! I just revamped my website, launched a line of supplements – “Bob Harper’s Smart Success” and will be talking a lot more about food!  I am so excited about a new series of webisodes I will be launching this week titled “My Fit Food.”

          The food webisodes will be a great new way for me to share my favorite food tips and ideas.  I may not be Julia Child, but I will certainly let you know my simple secrets to healthy eating!   And of course, paired with a healthy diet is exercise.   My newest DVD, “Beginner’s Weight Loss Transformation,” is now available and is the perfect way to start out your journey or simply implement a fresh routine into your regimen!
