Pea Protein

Pea Protein is a natural, vegetable-based protein powder derived from yellow peas. Yellow peas are more commonly known as split peas and are used extensively in food preparation such as in soups & purees. Most commercially available protein powders are derived from soy, rice, eggs, or dairy, which are often problematic for those with allergic dietary concerns. Brown Rice

Always look for ways to incorporate brown rice into your meal plans. Studies show that eating whole grains such as brown rice instead of refined grains lowers the risk of many chronic diseases including Type 2 Diabetes. While benefits are most pronounced for those consuming at least 3 servings daily, some studies show reduced risks from as little as one serving daily. So get on the whole grains and brown rice is a great place to start.
